Mail intended for a specific address, outside of our network, is not leaving the queue. Getting a "username@domain.com R=static_exact T=remote_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host" error in the smtp relay logs. It seems that the astaro box times out when trying to go to the intended address. So a used the trace route tool in the webadmin and it looks like it times out at the 3rd hop every time. If I try run a trace route from my workstation to the address is gets there no problem but takes a different path. But the trace route I run from why workstation has the astaro box as a hop. What’s the difference in a trace route from the webadmin and one from my workstation going through the astaro box. There are 2 other relay setups to outside addresses that relay mail fine, so I know that the smtp relay service is working properly. Seems like a routing issue.
This is a weird problem and any insight on what I could try would be helpful. I am still pretty green on the workings of this firewall.
Thank you,
