I can ping an IP address , but I can't browse it.

Hi all,

After doing an nslookup to resolve the IP address, I can ping the IP Address of mail.yahoo.com, but when I try to browse with Microsoft Internet Explorer, the page always times out. I run a tracert on the address 66.218.75.184, and it works fine. Also, the Yahoo.com homepage opens without any problems, but other services such as Yahoo Maps time out as well.

Is there a setting I may be missing?

Can you connect to www.gmx.de? If not, try to change the MTU on your client to a lower falue. I recommend you 1482. Tool
