Upstream HTTP Proxy

I plan to exchange my MS ISA Server (which I mainly use as Proxy) against an ASL V4. The only issue I see is that I configured my ISA Server for a particular domain within our Intranet to forward requests to another Proxy Server on a special port with a special account for authentication. So far I found no way of configuring something like this with ASL v4.009. Does anyone have an idea how to get there ?

    You should be able to configure the upstream HTTP proxy  here:-

    /var/chroot-squid/etc/squid.conf-default

    You may need to configure rules on the firewall to allow access to the upstream proxy.

    Can I also do this within the Web interface ? I'm not familiar with Linux.

    Currently no - ( note for Astaro - can you add this to the wishlist please). You will have to log in to the ASL machine and make the changes using the Linux command line. The changes are not too difficult and as long as you make a copy of the original file before making changes you cannot go too far wrong - a good excuse to learn some Unix ! Details of what needs to be done can probably be found on www.squid-cache.org (Astaro uses Squid as the proxy).
