4.010 SMTP (next input sent to soon)

Hi,

after I updated to 4.010 I get the following error in mail.log
Aug 12 08:57:30 mail exim[6699]: 2003-08-12 08:57:30 SMTP protocol violation: synchronization error (next input sent too soon): rejected "" H=(local-server) [192.168.100.2]

Can anyone explain me that?

    Hi, it's me again,
    I think I got another problem:
    I get no notification mails anymore:
    do-not-reply@fw-notify.net -> me@mydomain.com
    Subject: [mail.mydomain.com] [INF 052] System Up2dates successfully installed
    Cause: 2003-08-12 08:47:43 me@mydomain.com R=static_1 T=remote_smtp defer (101): Network is unreachable
    2003-08-12 08:49:33 me@mydomain.com R=dnslookup defer (-1): lowest numbered MX record points to local host
    *** Frozen

    the first report may refer to a race condition - can you give some information about your system, please? (cpu, chipset, ..)

    the second sounds a bit strange - does dequeueing via WebAdmin work for this mail?

    It is an AMD Athlon a bove 1,8GHz, 512MB RAM, but this error appears sometimes while communicating with our internal mailserver. The Mails are sent but the error is written in the log file. Can I use a higher log level to see which "input" is the problem?

    I was able to dequeue the mail via webadmin and it was sent, maybe I have to wait till the next mail (maybe virus up2date) to see what happens, I'll keep you informed..
