anti spam blacklist limit?

Is there a limit to how many Sender blacklist patterns you can have?  I just went over 300 and now nobody can send email out.  How many patterns do some of you have and has anybody seen anything about this?

    why dont you use the rbl list Realtime Blackhole Lists (RBL)
    the zone name is relays.ordb.org
    if you have some mails you can go to 

    relays.ordb.org
    and check them if they are already blacklisted. if not you can add it yourself on the website.

    you can also look at www.mailabuse.com

    yes, I know I should do that instead, just havn't been able to look into it yet.  Also more info, there is some kind of limit somewhere, I think it is more character based though, maybe at 4086 characters.  This is what was in the logs and after I deleted a few, mail started working again.
