Illegal Access

Since the update to 4.009 ASL brings me this message once and a while:

Illegal Access

Your request comes from an address used on one of the firewalls interfaces. This probably means that you access WebAdmin with one of the firewalls proxies, which is not allowed due to security considerations. Please disable the proxy for WebAdmin access and try again.

I haven't changed any configuration on the HTTP proxy! The IP of the firewall is excluded in my proxy settings!
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...

Any hints?

    What are the configurations of your http-Proxy on the ASL?
    What Browser and which Version are you using?

    Here you go!

    Configuration HTTP-Proxy:

    Operation Mode: Standard
    Log Level: Access Log Only
    Anonymity: None
    Caching: Enabled
    TCP Port: 8080
    Allowed Networks: LAN (my net), DMZ, PPTP Pool
    Content Filter: Block Web Bugs

    Used Browser:
    IE 6 SP1 with latest patches
    Crazy Browser 1.0.5

    Any ideas?

    in IE go to tools -> internetoptions -> connections -> lan settings -> advanced -> and enter your asl ip or hostname in the exeption list and press ok. your problem should be solved

    Does the problem occur with IE only? Try Mozilla (Firebird  is also smart) . Just to see if the problem is at ASL or at your Browser.

    as already said it works sometimes - for me this isn't a firewall issue.

    Guess that the firewall doesn't allow access via proxy to its GUI because
    the get request would come from localhost - a closer look at the filter set
    shows that localhost is allowed to do anything. As a consequence all  efforts
    to restrict access to the GUI would fail badly with enabled http proxy [;)]

    When I enter the IP of ASL in the Mozilla proxy exception list, the same prob occurs. When I enter the DNS-Name of the machine, it works... For now!

    In IE I deleted all entries and closed the prog. Then I entered "192.168.*" as excluded IP. Then it seems to work...
    But this is exactly the entry as it was before...

    Strange prob!

    I'll keep you informed!
