Mail-broadcast does not work ... smtp timeout

Hi,
I try to send a mail to 600 contacts but the smtp-connection gives me a time-out. Anybody has any idea on where and how to configure this?

    Hi Daniel,

    be more precise !
    You want to send 600 mail simultanously ?

    There is a limitation of  concurrent connections for the SMTP proxy.
    If this is your problem, you should have a look  at this

    Hi Karsten,

    We are organising a conference and we need to do some mailing to the invitiesl. So we nee dto send each time one mail to around 600 people. 
    Is this more than one connection (there is only one sender and we use the mailhost of our provider)?
