POP3 proxy

As of last night, our CPU utilization went crazy.  Seems to have happened right at midnight.  After rebooting, it seems the POP3 proxy zombied several ripmime processes, which were consuming a great deal of CPU; however, browsing around the filesystem, the files that ripmime was scanning were no longer there.

Is there something specific to trigger this behaviour?  If so, may it be avoided?

ASL 4.009 on dual P2-400MHz with 256 MB RAM.

    Hi,
    at midnight the astaro will reorganize the logfiles (a new file will be opened. These will take some CPU Utilization.
    what did mean with ripmime?

    I understand about rotating the logfiles, but my CPU was pegged at 100% from midnight until 8am, when I rebooted.

    I mentioned ripmime, because there were 'ripmime' processes in the PS list that were consuming anywhere from 20-50% CPU.  The files denoted in the PS arguments were non-existant on the Astaro (I checked all chroot areas, and these files just weren't there).  So, the temp files that ripmime was processing were gone, and ripmime was still consuming all of my CPU.

    It didn't happen lastnight, so I'll keep my eyes on it.  But, the fact that it happened at all is a little disconcerting.
