I am using the 30 day eval of ASL v4.009 on a test network to determine suitability for possible use in our organization. So far everything has been working well. Standard HTTP proxy works fine. If I turn on LDAP authentication for the HTTP proxy I am unable to browse. I get "The page cannot be displayed" "Cannot find server or DNS error". If I turn off LDAP authentication for the HTTP proxy, browsing works fine.
Here are my settings;
Under System, User Authentication, LDAP Server Settings;
Status: Enabled
LDAP type: Novell
Unique User Attibute: cn
IP address: address of my LDAP server
TCP port: 389
Bind DN: cn=admin,o=hnc_rdg
Base DN: o=hnc_rdg
Password: password for admin account
Under Proxies, HTTP;
Operation mode: User authentication
Authentication methods: LDAP Directory
I have used the LDAP settings above in the Softerra LDAP browser and am able to successfully connect to my LDAP server and browse the directory.
I tried it with no firewall filters in place and it still does not work.
What else might I be missing ?
Thanks.
