Hello, I have an existing ASL protected network not using the SMTP proxy feature. The domain has an MX record that points to an SMTP server on the DMZ(public) network. The SMTP server passes mail to another SMTP/POP server on the internal network.
If I implement the SMTP proxy do I change the MX for my domain to the external IP of the ASL box? If I have to create an additional IP for the SMTP proxy to operate on do I use an IP on the DMZ or an IP on the external interface?
I read the docs but they were unclear.
Thank You,
Jeff
