Can not telnet to Port 25 using 4.08. Can anyone ?

Hi,
I keep getting  this error in the smtp logs,
"configuration error in line 99:
exim[11092]: [2/2]   extra characters follow string value for exiscan_regex_data"

And additionally I can not telnet to port 25. I tried from the inside and from the outside, but to no avail.

Can anyone help  PLEASE?

in line 99 regex data is set, seems that your expression filter isn't correct, try to remove it

You were right.
I did have an expression in my expression filter list, but because I had disabled the list I was not aware that it was there. As soon as I removed the entry, I could telnet to port 25 immediately,
