I have ASL 4.007 running with Surf protection switched on. I’m just blocking two categories (Nudity, Games_Gambles). I several time noticed that users were able to browse to webpages that should been blocked. I always checked the status in the Surf Protection Profile and found a green dot in front of the profile. That means for me – Surf Protection is on - it should work.
To get Surf Protection running again, I switched it off (red dot) and on again. That helped in all cases.
But that happened several times already. I was thinking what I did before and realized that in some cases it had something to do with the Black- and Whitelist. In most cases I added or deleted URLs to or from those lists. I saved the profile and received no error message at all.
It is not a good feeling if your Surf Protection you installed on your system is suddenly not working.
Does somebody have the same experiences?
