HELP!!! Urgent!!! SPAMd killing me! How to fix it!

Help!  Running ASL4.0. My firewall just suddenly went from 5% CPU to maxed! Memory is climbing. Restart did not help. Shutting off SMTP Proxy did not help. Anyone seen this before and can tell me what I am looking at here? This is an exerpt from current process list... Thanks...

    I found the old thread.. The modification appears to have worked. Thanks.. But now I have another problem.. It appears that all my reporting graphs froze when this issue began. I restarted the firewall, and now everything has flatlined at the position it was last at when the problem began.. Any ideas? Thanks

    The graphs being flatlined *should* fix itself at midnight during nightly maintenance.

    I was hoping midnight maintenance would fix it but nothing changed. Everything is froze. Flatline from about noon to 2PM which is the time between the SMTPd issue and my restarting the system. It's stuck on about 2PM yesterday. I can't tell for sure because not even the time hacks on the bottom are showing up. Man this is irritating..     Also noticed that the SMTPd hack appears to turn off SPAM detection. I turned it back on and guess what. SMTPd goes crazy again. I guess this means I no longer have use of heuristic SPAM blocking?

    Well it appears it took 24 hours from the time the server was last restarted, but the data has finally come back.. Now if I could just turn the SPAM heuristics and POP3 proxy back on.. ;-)

    Seem to be having the same problem with spam detection on.Using uptodate 4.001 did not help.It is painfull havind to reboot my firewall to get the utilisation back to normal again.
