ASL Version 4.0 - 512MB Memory
One of our web designers gave me a call today and was quite mad. [:(]
It appears that the HTTP Cache is delivering old pages even though the pages have been changed.
with the HTTP Proxy activated I deleted the local cache from Internet Explorer 6.xx I tried to load our website and an old webpage was loaded. see log entry below.
with the HTTP Cache deaktivated I tried to load the website again and was served the proper (i.e. changed) document.
I then deleted the Internet Explorers Cache again and reactivated the HTTP Proxy. Once again, the old page was loaded.
It appears that only Memory Cache Hits are affected and files already dumped to the Hard Drive are not affected. The time between the loading of changed pages to our website and the call from our developer was somewhere around 1.5 hours. There wasnt much activity today as today is a holiday and the memory wouldnt be dumped to the drive so quickly.
Can anyone verify this?
