HELP!!! HTTP Proxy and Surf Protection Error Messages

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble keeping the HTTP Proxy running.  I'm using ASL 3.12 with a Surf Protection License.

Since I installed the update I keep receiving these two error messages.

[INF 119] HTTP proxy not responding - restarted(1 times)
[WAR 060] Surf Protection remote database connection failure - retrying

System Uptime: 0 days 23 hours 8 minutes
System Load: 0.14
System Version: Astaro Security Linux  3.212
License: Office Version     

Please refer to the manual for detailed instructions.

After I installed the Up2Date 3.12 package I began to receive the errors.  So, in response I rebooted the box.  The errors have slowed down but not stopped.

I thought I had seen a full error list somewhere but I can't remember where it was that I saw it.
Does anyone know where that list is so that I can download or copy it.
I do have the latest copy of the ASL 3 manual.

    Sorry about the above.  I meant to say that my ASL Version is 3.212...

    Do not be (too) alarmed by these messages. 

    The [INF 119] means that the proxy did not respond fast enough to the test request from the selfmonitor.  If this error is not being massproduced you can safely ignore it     . 

    The other message means that the connect  attempt to the Url DB failed. The connect is retried and if it fails 3 times the SP  gives up and you are notified with a different message saying that SP is disabled for the next 1 hour and that only the URL cache will be used. Since you haven't mentioned that in your mail so I assume that it didn't happen to you. 

    So, to summerise: if you get these messages sporadically, all it means is that you could use a faster internet connection and they are purely of an informative nature.

    I have the same problems

    since updating to ASL 3.212 ...
    You said, that we don't have to worry about, but my customer is getting nervous  [:)] 
    Will this be fixed with the next update ?

    I'm have these problem also, but a lot of time (any minute) after update to 3.212 version.
    Then my connection is more slowly (i have 2mbit)......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I have a lot of mail ....................

    Hi.

    I get the same messages with same asl version, but not so often (once all 1-3 days). i keep getting also "inf118 surf protection not running" (enterprise license with surf protection). Asl still works. 

    But today i was getting nervous because at least http proxy kept down. It logged and e-mailed me lots of ERR 060 and WAR 060 all in the same minute plus http proxy not running inf. 44x. A user in my home-lan informed me he cant do "nothing"  [:S]

    Hi alltogether,

    is it maybe possible that you have changed
    the http proxy port manually? If you run Surf
    Protection you must not change it because the
    selfmonitoring checks use localhost port 8080.

    Of course I understand that you do not want to 
    change hundreds of client settings so I would 
    configure a DNAT rule that all packets port xxxx
    to the internal interface of the firewall would
    be rewritten to localhost 8080   [;)]

    Same Problem using ASL 3.216
    ...get error message 
    [INF 118] Surf Protection not running - restarted (1 times)
    and
    [INF 119] HTTP proxy not responding - restarted (1 times)

    both messages around 15 times a day.

    Didn`t change the http-proxy port (still in default 8080 mode).

    Anyways everything seems to work well ......just wanna get rid of these 2x15 error mails per day.

    From the console "killall squid" and then restart squid (or restart ASL).  Suspect you did an update and Squid never properly restarted.  I'll bet your CPU is at 100% too.  Squid can take some time to restart on a slower box and is getting wacked by the middle ware too soon.

    already tried this......works fine for a couple of hours and then it starts again...same problem......still thankfull for any ideas
