surf protection does NOT work! customers not happy....

We have surf protection licenses installed on two astaro boxen at a client site, one a corporate hq and one at a remote site. On each machine i can create a surf profile but cannot "toggle" it on! I had thought maybe just the image wasn't changing to green but I can still get to websites that are in the "block" list.

I'm running squid in transparent mode with anonymity set to none. The profile is setup for the local lan and not a user by user base.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    o.k. yeah, after 3 days of periodic attempts I deleted both profiles and readded them exactly the same way and BAM! I kicked it up a notch apparently and it works.

    Stupid computers. Somedays I'd like to just quit and go be a forest ranger. Somewhere far, far away from all things computer and computer-user related.
