Trouble running Quicktime

Has anyone besides me had trouble running Apple Quicktime using the Astaro proxy?

I've tried both with Surf Protection enabled and disabled, and I've tried to get the settings to equal those shown by Apple at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resources/qt/us/proxy/ and I still can't get it to function.  Opening the appropriate ports for a direct connection is working fine, so proxy is the only stumbling block.

Hints welcome!!!

    Just keeping the post alive. . .would appreciate some feedback from anyone who has had either the same problem, or who can document successful settings for running Quicktime

    Hi Dan,

    did you tell Quicktime to use HTTP proxy port 8080?
    As far as I know it would be enough to open udp/554
    RSTP from internal_network to any to access it directly, 
    don't forget to masquerade the internal network
    to the external IP!
