Blacklist *AND* Whitelist???

I was under the impression that we were going to get the ability to do both blacklists and whitelists to override the sledgehammer settings Cobion forces on us.  As of Up-2-Date 3.209 I don't see how it's done.  As it is, when I try to add a whitelisted item on top of half a dozen or so blacklisted URLs, ASL redefines all of the list as whitelisted!

Any clue how to get around this?

    I poked around in the system and found the lists in plaintext form from the rootprompt.  You can edit both the whitelist and the blacklist at the command line, just not (AFAIK) from WebAdmin.

    I'm not certain because the office I'm at today doesn't have filtering enabled, but I believe the path is /var/chroot-squid/etc/filter and has a long name that includes the name of the category you set up and the word "whitelist" or "blacklist."

    if you modify it manually it would be overwritten
    with your next change of the configuration.

    Thanks for the 'heads up' Oliver!  I'll be sure to double-check my filters once the new release is installed!

    Do you have anything like a timetable you're willing to say publically yet?
