SMTP QUEUE BROKEN??

I have all of my emails stuck in the Queue!! This is a big problem...I tried re-sending them by de-queuing the messages but nothing happens...in the error logs I get

routing defer (-42): retry time not reached
 over and over again

I really need to fix this....

PS i am running 3.209 with SMTP and DNS as the only proxies running

    okay i logged in via ssh as root and restarted the exim server and tried to release the queue via these commands

    '/etc/rc.d/smtp restart'
    'chroot /var/chroot-smtp /bin/exim -qff'

    now i am getting a different error...

    R=lookuphost defer (-1): host lookup did not complete

    i also am still getting the (-42) error as well

    any ideas?

    Is this a DNS proxy issue?

    restart the middleware with /sbin/init.d/mdw restart

    hey, thanks for the response

    I did try restarting the middle ware and thats didnt really help either

    However, i have since fixed the issue...

    It was totally a DNS problem...I changed my DNS servers in the DNS proxy and tried to re-send all the emails in the queue and they all went out...phew thank gd

    anyway thanks everyone for all the help
