The Antispam / RBL feature in the SMTP Proxy setup is a bit daunting. One would be weary of entering an RBL server here without knowing what's really going on (for fear of repurcussion, getting *** listed, or if a business: legal trouble). The Astaro documentation seems to evade an explanation, and the various RBL websites out there are riddled in geek speak. Even with my experience with Astaro and in dealing with spam, I had to wade through a few pages in order to achieve some clarity.
It shouldn't be so difficult these days, achieving a spam-free life. Nor should it require a thorough understanding of the history of DNS/BIND and SMTP.
It is my conclusion that for peace of mind and to complete this simple task one only needs to enter: relays.ordb.org To test, follow these simple instructions: http://ordb.org/faq/#test_blocking
Yet with such a powerful feature I think an explanation is in order. If all other resources are taxed I could maybe handle this... what most people would want to know is 1) what does this feature do? 2) what ip addrs or names can I enter here to get this over with quickly? 3) How can I test this? 3) I'm still getting spammed / what next? (assuming various levels of subscription through services available are also various levels of accuracy).
