Windows Update

I am using the Proxy server in the Astaro firewall. When the Windows clients are using Windows update, it fail. The error message says that Windows Update only works with Windows Client.

Anyone else who has this problem?

Windowsupdate only works with MS Internet Exploder.
Active-X must be enabled.

.... and in my experience at least, you must include windowsupdate.microsoft.com in Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/Connections/Lan Settings/Advanced/Exceptions.

You should set: Anonimity to NONE in astaro proxys/http (sho windows pdate site can determine whic os/browser client is useing...

with anonimity set to: paranoid or standers (windowsupdate site) wont work!

with anonimity set to: paranoid or standard (windowsupdate site) won't work!
