strange smtp-failure

hi all,

today a really strange thing happened... asl3202

i wondering why getting 5 hours no mails...

so i loged on the wfe...
smtp-proxy was disabled...
there stood: Invalid License-Key for this function
or something like that...

then i gone to /system/licensing

there stood "smtp-proxy enabled"

i went back to /proxies/smtp-relay

stopped and started the deamon again...

this solved the problem...

    Boy you were lucky. Had the same thing here. I did exactly like you said, and did not solve the problem. After applying the latest 2 updates (i was missing them), while looking at the log window while installing, i see the Kaspersky starting up, which never happened when updating. For a good reason, i don't have the power home user license! I went in command prompt, keyed a ps cmd, and there you go, KAV is listed as running  ! A reboot solved the problem, KAV did not start anymore, but neither did the smtp proxy. Exim starts, but ... the connection at smtp port on the astaro machine drops immediately after connect ! Lasts maybe a second and drops, on connections both on external IF or internal. Anyone any ideeas please ???
