Local User/NT/2000 Authentication: Umlaut impossible?

We're just evaluating the 3.200 version and using the http-proxy with the NT/2000 PDC/BDC authentication option. This works pretty good, but not for users with german umlauts in their name. I also cannot add (at the ASL) a local user with umlauts (ö,ä,ü,ß) or other language specific characters (like é, á and so on).
Are these characters not supported by ASL or do I have overlooked something?

Thanks in advance, Ralf
