Email Recieveing whit OUTLOOK EXPRESS

Hello

It would be VERY nice if someone could help me whit my problem.

What i need to know is how to set up the ASL 3.2 to recieve emails whit the outlook express.

I have tried to make some rules about POP3 and SMPT, BUT nothing works.

My inter-net connection is working fine through the ASL 3.2 using the HTTP proxy.

Hi bojazz,

I've Outloor running behind my ASL box, for outgoing Mail I'm using the SMTP-Proxy, with an SMTP-Route for the Mailserver of my Provider. All other outgoing Mail will be delivered by using the MX-Record from the DNS.

For incoming Mail I'm using POP3 with the following rule in my Ruleset:

host/network POP3 Any Allow.

It Works fine for me.

I started with the ANY ANY ANY ALLOW rule and trimmed it back till it stopped working. The final rule is this:
Internal Network > POP/SMTP group > ANY > ALLOW

Works for me and I don't have to shag about with teh SMTP relay services.

Hi all,

does anybody use POP3 with ssl (Port 995)?
you need to add a new service and rule for this.

i don't know how/if this works with the smtp proxy, because i don't use it.
