MX-Records on Proxy SMTP

Hello,
I am using 3.02. Our external mail domain name is translated (this is done by our isp..) to the internal IP adress of our domino mail server.
I want to install SMTP proxy. What MX record shoud I take to configure ?? The MX record known by the internet DNS, or a specfic MX record on our internal DNS server specifying the domino IP ??
