Web Access Locked Out

Can anyone help ?

HTTPS access to 3.2 suddenly went "access denied", although root and ssh access is still OK. The only thing changed was turning on HTTP Proxy/standard. Firewall still functioning correctly but cannot administer anymore

hi zenanz,

has you still changed your browser properties?
for your clients you have to fill in the proxy.

for IE its under: extras - internetoptions - connections - LAN-adjustments.

type the ip of your internal fw-nic and the port 8080.

so it has to work.

oy yeah,

hope you have filled in the correct allowed networks.

for example your internal ip is 192.168.100.1 and your clients 192.168.100.xxx
the allowed networks have to be for all clients 192.168.100.0 or every client seperate like 192.168.100.1 / 192.168.100.2/ 192.168.100.3 etc.

zenanz, simply bypass the proxy for your webadmin access.

Thanks for your suggestions, unfortunately, it appears my problem was not related to my HTTP Proxy settings at all, somehow my web access password became corrupt. Access was denied under all proxy or no proxy configurations. It has since been reset and all is well
