SMTP proxy configuration

I can see there are a lot of problems people are having with the SMTP proxy service. The only problem I'm having is that the proxy sends out about 30 messages to one of my clients when it can't relay an email successfully. Every hour, on the hour, for about a day, an internal user of mine will receive a message saying the delivery was delayed and that the server will try again. Most of the time, this ends with a message saying the delivery didn't go through and it's now stopping.
I would like to know if it's possible to configure the proxy server not to send so many messages to my clients. Ideally, just the failure notice would be sent.
Help me?

    edit /etc/crontab-static and change the line concerning aqueuecntl.pl

    note: this is a way to change notification times, I don't know if it affects the system in any other way. Works for me anyway  [:)]

    If I want not to use relay mail, I do how?

    If I don't set relay mail, I will cann't send email to outside.

    (I want not relay mail because firewall will try send email that had problem and send mail delay notice to user every hour.)

    Do you have a mail server inside the firewall?

    Yes, I have mail inside.

    and now I have problem increase is log full,
    Can I stop log or no keep log.
