Notifications and Backups are not being eMailed

I've been using Astaro for about a month now and i'm very impressed with what it can do. I do however have one small problem. 
The problem is that my Notifications and Backups are not being eMailed. I've specified one internal eMail address and one external eMail address, but neither is receiving anything. I've checked the /var/log/mail files and they remain empty. 
A strange thing is that about 2 weeks ago i received about 50 mails at once (collected over the previous 2 weeks). So it seems to be working, but for some reason it only sends mail when it feels like it  .... as it did 2 weeks ago...

Can anyone help me fix this problem... Or does anyone know where to look ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Jeremy,

    sounds like a DNS problem. If not already done
    configure the DNS proxy, enter your providers
    DNS servers and save it. If you do not want to
    run DNS proxy, disable it again, the config of 
    the DNS servers remains and the firewall queries
    ISPs DNS.
