[SQUID] HTTPD_PROXY_ACCEL - how to ?

Hi,

I would like to use the httpd_accel functions of squid to provide a frontend and protect my webservers.

I set up the squid.conf-default , and it looks correct..but no joy.

One thing i know where the error could be is the listening port - 80 (If i'm thinking right, ASL does not like services listening below 1024)

How can i get this to work ?

    Karl,

    Astaro uses special filters which cannot be
    accessed through WebAdmin, these are only for port
    8080. Maybe you have to think over your concept!

    Hi,

    Well, I think my concept is sound. I do not want web requests to hit my web servers directly. Squid has the functionability of performing "inverse" proxying. ASL is tasked to perform the function of network protection...(and i dont trust IIS as far as i could throw it..)
