ASL 2.022
I have a solaris 7 box inside firewall as our internal e-mail server. When I set up the SMTP proxy to forward all mail from our domain to the IP of our internal server, all mail got bounced back and forth between ASL and our internal server until it failed for too many hops. With our old RedHat gateway, I never had this problem.
I changed the smart-relay host setting in my sendmail.cf file on the internal server to point to the ASL box, so it knew where to send all external messages, but all messages kept looping until they errored out.
The 'Accepted Incoming Domains' lists our corporate domain name, and I have the 'Mail relay for' set for the internal NIC. Under 'SMTP routes', the only one listed is from our domain name to the internal server.
Any suggestions?
