SMTP proxy Config

Can anyone help with the following?????
Have 3 NIC firewall with Private addresses for internal net and DMZ.MASQ both networks.
My mail server is in DMZ.SMTP proxy enabled.
Mail is functioning BUT when I telnet from INTNET
to port 25 of external NIC of firewall I get SMTP
banner of mail server in DMZ instead of qmail.Is this config correct???????
Also would there be any advantage of splitting my internet add range sothat I have public ip addresses for my DMZ

    I think you are doing DNAT from your External IP on port 25 to your DMZ mail server on port 25.

    You should tell the ASL not to DNAT on port 25.

    Then browse to the SMTP proxy area in the WebMin, enable the service and fill the domains it should accept mails for.

    Then you must fill the ip or FQN of the server ASL will forward the mail it receives for those domains to.
