ASL 2.022 DNS question

We have an external DNS server that is primary to our ISPs' secondaries. Recently, we added a website, changed our records and everything was OK. Today, we had a complaint that users could not reach the web site using ">abc.com/>, they could only access it using ">www.abc.com/.../enabling DNS proxy in ASL several times. I finally had to restart the ASL before it picked up the change the other DNS severs already had. Is this correct

First question, who is authoratitive for the domain abc.com?

Can you resolve dns for other sites such as www.google.com????

We are the authority for the domain.

We have no problems with other domains.

The problem is (I'm assuming) the DNS forwarder in ASL not picking up the change from our primary DNS and our ISP's secondary DNS.

The way to force the update was to reboot Astaro, I would like a better way than that.

Hi mac,

your prob to update DNS is maybe easy going. Login to your ASL via console or ssh and type:

/sbin/init.d/named reload

This should solve your probs.
