SMTP proxy capable of masquerading?

I am replacing a Sendmail SMTP server with the smtp proxy in ASL. My current sendmail setup is doing masquerading (user@host.domain.tld > user@domain.tld)

Can the ASL SMTP proxy be setup to do this? If not I can put a smarthost in my iinternal network that masquerades prior to stuffing it off to the ASL. Just need to know which way to go.
