No pid for SMTP-Proxy Second Stage Mail Daemon - restarting qmail

Hi,

I have some trouble with ASL 1.825 SMTP proxy (read qmail) now, I get a lot of notify(email) from my ASL-box with following message:
"No pid for SMTP-Proxy Second Stage Mail Daemon - restarting qmail

Astaro Security Linux 1.825"

I have restarted my ASL-box, restarted qmail, removed everything from mail-queue, without any success.

Any tip from some Astaro experts ?? [:S]

Hello Astaro, is there anybody out there ??

When I use edit program as VI, this program is aborted after a short time, with this error message:

"Vim: Caught deadly signal TERM
Vim: Finished."

Maybe I have som kind of hardware trouble with my ASL-box, who is making some trouble/interupt with qmail ?? Any tip ??

I had the same problem when I was installing DHCP from the hacks download.

I am not sure what caused it but I think SMTP is not starting because of an improper network or interface config or maybe because my eth1 IP address changed.

I restored an old backup and fixed the problem. This of course made me rebuild some of my rule.

Don't know about your problem, but a general question:

Why are you at ASL 1.825 and not at 2.0xx ??

Maybe you have a bug which is fixed in the new version ?

Hi, I'm running version 1.825 because of some QOS-script that I have made, this kernel (1.825) have these possibility compiled into it (use of QOS), not 2.0 kernel => 3.x release of ASL do have QOS implemented.

I'm also getting alot of the "No pid for SMTP-Proxy Second Stage Mail Daemon - restarting qmail" at the moment. Any ideas?
