SMTP Queue Blocked

We've been using ASL unaltered for several months and on the who it's been great.

Today however we got an e-mail which has been stuck in the SMTP queue for five hours now...

QMAIL Status:

messages in queue: 1
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0

Queue:

remote nigel.clarkson@comreco-rail.co.uk

Timeouts: 0

All other mail is moving normally and we've had no message indicating a problem, any ideas?

I'm quite technical but new to ASL so be gentle.

    Further to my earlier message.  The mail server logs indicate that a connection was attempted, but when the mail server requested the data, ASL didn't give it up:

    (I've missed the stream and date to try to improve readability)

    10:56:47 HELO gatekeeper.comreco-rail.co.uk  --->  250 comreco-rail.co.uk  
    10:56:47 MAIL FROM:  --->  250 receiving from administrator@chilternrailways.co.uk  
    10:56:47 RCPT TO:  --->  250 will send to nigel.clarkson@comreco-rail.co.uk  
    10:56:47 DATA  --->  354 send the message, terminate with "."  

    Then one and a half minutes later the mail server asks again, but gives up after not gettin' the goods.

    10:58:16 DATA  --->  354 send the message, terminate with "."  

    We don't have size limits on the mail server and other mails were moving at the time of the problem.
