Deleted qmail directories

Hi folks,

i accedently deleted all subdirs in the qmail directory /info /mess etc.

I created new ones, but the SMTP livelog says that it can't create e.g. /info/9/-messageid- .

Any chance of fixing this ?

Stupid question, but i wanted to get rid of the bouncing mails. I think i deleted too much [:)]

Problem solved...

I used a test box and installed Qmail on it, then just copied the setup. Had to 'touch' a few files and change some permissions but it now works!!!

I think its a permission problem here, how to change back the owner "root" to owner "qmail" of the mentioned directories ???

Type: chown [new owner] [directory or filename]

re the permissions thing, yes it has to be done...

but the problem is that Qmail is running in a chroot, so what I did was copy the 'chown' & 'chmod' commands to the appropriate dir and then chroot to the qmail chroot dir. It is then possible to specify the correct permissions...

Did u get all that?
