DNS Problems with Astaro, please help!

I'm switching to astaro from a redhat firewall running ipchains. When I finely switched servers from the old to the new one, we lost dns. I can access all the systems on the intranet useing IPs, but not hostnames. If I hotswap the ethernet cables back to the old server everything works fine. So it's deffently an astaro setting. Can anyone help me out on this one? Thanks.

P.S. Does anyone know of a utility to switch ipchain rules to iptable rules? This would REALLY help so that I wouldn't have to totally recreate the old firewall ruleset onto the net astaro box. Thanks!

    Is your intranet located on the same network as your LAN? What resolves DNS for your network? Do you resolve internals and externals with different DNS servers?

    Your problem is DNS. ASL makes use of the DNS proxy feature, where you set your clients DNS address as the ASL and redirect them from there to an upstream server. If you have to resolve internal and external separately, you will need to add a DNS service for your intranet and set your clients to first resolve from the internal DNS and then refer to the external.
