SQUID log analysis...

Hello Astaro, we/our customers missed a HTML -log viewer for the proxy. And now we have sucessfully integrated SARG SARG
into the ASTARO, but how would it be if ASTARO could officially integrate..or anybody tool for viewing logs.

    I looked at the SARG web page.

    I really like the reports it generates.
    When I give demos on ASL, people really seem to
    like the reports on hardware usage and network
    traffic and so on; but the truth is these reports
    lack details that customers want.

    SARG would add these details for http traffic.
    That would be good.

    After that, Astaro should add the same sort of reporting for mail.  Managers would like little graphs showing the number of incoming and outgoing mail postings verse time, and they would really like a break down by person or domain.
     
    Yes, I admit I have some ethical concerns about the way managers and sys admins can use these reports (and system cache and log files) to invade people's privacy; but I still think they are valuable tools.  It is the company's job to insure ethical use of the tools they have.
