SMTP-Status page

First off, I am fighting with my mail (actually, I don't get any to come on or go out).

I'm trying to learn why but I have the following in Reporting: SMTP Proxy

QMAIL Status:

                             messages in queue: 24332
                             messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 2

                             Queue:
                             27 Sep 2001 22:49:12 GMT  #44551  2690  <>
                                     remote  SMTP-Proxy@4wx.net
                             28 Sep 2001 14:27:52 GMT  #50830  1453  <>
                                     remote  donavan@4wx.net
                             27 Sep 2001 22:49:51 GMT  #46023  8332
                                     remote  donavan@4wx.net

With the pending messages going on forever in the list.

Any suggestions as to what is going on here?   [:S]

Hi donavan,

looks like a mass of error messages. Did you setup a correct dns entry and a correct hostname for your firewall (cant see this on the status page)?

Use the clean script from the docssite the clean the queue.

I went about poking around myself. I cleaned out the mess and everything is working now.

I think it must have been some sort of bounce loop. The destination mail server was not yet setup. I have about 25 things going on. [;)]
