SMTP proxy sends emails with wrong address

I am in the middle of changing ISP:s and I asked my new ISP to configure my domains DNS A record to the ASL computer so I could proxy the domains emails to my old email server while I build a new one. The problem is ASL seems to be sending incredible amounts of email addressed to SMTP-proxy@my.domain (my domain being my REAL somain here). Of course the email server will reject these as such an acocunt has not been configured. This is a BIG problem since ASL is causing a lot of empty traffic between my two ISP's.

    It seems ASL was bouncing error messges between itself and the mail server, although I still havent found any reason for the recipient of the email (SMTP-proxy).

    make sure the hostname of your ASL box is valid. It needs to be 'host.domain.com', and not just 'domain.com'. Also host.domain.com should either have correct internet DNS (at least a valid MX record) or should be in the /etc/hosts or %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file of the other SMTP server(s) with which it communicates.
