Another SMTP problem

Hi,

   Really it is a very good product!
   I installed the Astaro 2.0 and up to now one problem appears and I still couldn't solve. I don't know where to post so I am going to post again here. It is about email server.
   I setup three network cards, one it is external, one is private for the LAN and another is also private for anther segment. This third segment I create IP alias with static IP for the servers. I am using SMTP proxy:
    Incoming domain: mailbox.ma
    Mail relay: internal email server
    Mail route: mailbox.ma -> ip of this internal server ( I don't know if it is necessary)
    I put MX record for Astaro in DNS server, allowed SMTP services :
  any -> Email server
  Email server -> any
  any -> external card of firewall
     From inside, anyone can send emails, but the email server is not receiving any email. I checked  the log and they are not blocked.
    Could please someone tell me what I am doing wrong or missing.   [:S] 
    And please, don' send email to me now because I will be able to receive!!!

    Hi again!

       Sorry about the error in the last part, I meant that I could not receive any emails because of this problem.
       And please, could someone shed some light about this problem. We really don't want do desactivated this firewall for the servers, specially email server. And I am completely desesperate!!!

    please send me a private UBB message and leave your domain name (is it really mailbox.ma, or is this just a placeholder ?)

    I will try to debug this with you. Your setup seems, ok but you don't even need the firewall rules.

    hello,

    o.k., after i read this post, i have the same problem:

    when I put a rule any->smtp->internal_mail_server->allow I can receive mails from everiwhere, when I DISABLE this rule no chance to get incomming e-mails.
    SMTP proxy same config as post above.

    SMTP-Proxy Reporting shows me every e-mail, incomming and outgoing. but only with the rule above. Is it possible that the DNAT rule external->smtp->internal_mail_server->smtp is in conflict with the SMTP proxy? do I have to remove this DNAT rule?

    hi eldorado,

    just for clarification:

    you forward port 25 (SMTP) to an internal mailserver AND you want to use the SMTP proxy for incoming mail ?

    because these two are mutually exclusive  [:)]

    you mean that if I use the proxy I don't have to configure ANY Firewall rule on the ASL box! yes?

    Hi,

        I found out what was the problem and it was really a stupid and blind thing. After with a lot of patient to read the forum posted messages related with this problem, there was the answer.
       I needed just to add a routing entry in the router.     
       And really we liked it very much! It is a great product and soon we hope  to install this product to one of our clients.
