SMTP & POP Traffic Denied

G'day or night.
i've got a problem with my mail traffic. i can't send mails to the internet (via smtp) and also cant receive emails from the internet (via pop).
I've already configured rules "Packet Filter/Rules" to allow from "internet (client) via pop(service) to "internal network(to). and from "internal network" via "smtp" to "internet", but nothing happens. my smtp proxy is enabled.
what can i do?

something in advance: im no linux professional and my english isn't very good you surely noticed.

    Dear Renè,

    I think you should try to understand the origin of your problems, which IMHO can be either the packect filter or the SMTP proxy.

    So, assuming you already have configured your internal machines to be properly MASQed, I advice you to try disabling the SMTP proxy. Then you should be able to use every service (including sending/receiving mails) with a single rule:

    internal_net any any allow

    If this work (it has to  [;)] can't be so helpul).

    We have some problems: there is no access to the external mail-server. SMPT proxy is unactive., the filter rules are transparent(all allow). Also there is no access from telnet to the ports 25,
    ping & traceroute - good. Other tasks are completed successfully.
