caching DNS & master

Hi,
I'm running Astaro 1.820 with two NIC cards.
First I've configured BIND to work as a caching only name server pointing to two DNS as forwarders on the internet. Then I've hacked /var/chroot-bind/etc/named.conf to let bind behave also as a master server for a give zone (actually to resolve with internal IP computers where a DNAT has been applied).
Everything was working well, but today it seems that something has replaced named.conf with the template of the caching only DNS.
Is there a daemon that checks the content of DNS configuration files ? How can I solve this ?
