G'Day
I have just found an intersting issue with how the software works. The machine that my firewall runs on is CPU limited, with only 16 K of onboard cache, making it a bit slow. Since I already have a HTTP proxy, I have decided not to run it, and the mail proxy.
Turning these off is no problem, EXCEPT that when you disable the MAIL proxy there are still about 9 processes still running. I know that something still needs to be running for outgoing mail, but if you disable the proxy I want it to stop running totally.
Maybe this is something for 2.0....
