sourceforge and others downloading problem...

For some reason the banner ad filter will block anything on the address http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ 

I found that basicly the string that it matches is:

prdownloADS.sourforge.NET

Frankly if you go to ads.*.net, it gets redirected.  And the werid thing, is i've editied the url that squid normaly sends you to when you hit a banner to a local internal server, yet this address is still trying to goto the astaro site.

Any ideas?

    thx for the hint (oops...).
    I fix this for 1.9 and will announce a Up2Date for 1.8 next days.

    Ok, part two now... this one is driving us crazy.

    if you goto www.nasdaq.com,  it won't finnish loading the page with the banner filter turned on.

    Not only that, but it kills the browser.  But it seams to only happen in Netscape 4.x (of course just about the whole company uses that).

    Any ideas?

    Also, is there a work around for the sourceforge problem that we can do untill the update?

    Hi Eirik,
     www.nasdaq.com  works great for me with netscape 4.74, all pictures included and download finfished correct....

    Sorry there is no workaround for the sourceforge.net prob, please use 1.920 or wait for the next 1.8 Up2Date.

    For me the problem was in the ad redirect.  I have since then replaced the banner ad redirect program with another, that I found to be more to my liking (plus it does updates each night).  

    Once I switched ad programs, I seam to no longer have problems.

    Also, a work to the wise, this new one also blocks shockwave ads and other such things like counters.  [:)] the HowTo.
