Email Protection: Exceptions for email addresses in users contact list

I was told that Barracuda cloud filters has the ability to add exceptions based on the users contact list.

I was wondering if Sophos Email Protection has a similar function.

Can you provide us a brief information on what possibilities does this feature adds? And a KBA from barracuda explaining the feature.
