Hotmail and Gmail Setup for Email Protection in Sophos Home UTM

Can someone please share the specific settings to use to enable Email Protection (antivirus, antispam) for Hotmail and Gmail email addresses accessed by various endpoints?  My clients are Windows Live Mail and Outlook.  Most accounts use POP3, one uses IMAP.

I can see Email Protection working for a non-TLS account (nc.rr.com), but I've not been able to see any email scanning in the logs for Hotmail and Gmail accounts.

I am a newbie to Sophos Home UTM, and have searched this forum extensively to see if I can find out how to do this, but I have not been able to find the appropriate settings.

Thank you

  • Fun Star Wars reference!

If you've already added the FQDN of the mail server on the 'Advanced' tab, you will see it listed on the 'POP3' tab of the User Portal.

Once you've completed that, you just need to access your email account from behind the POP3 Proxy and it will then begin to prefetch your POP3 emails.
