[Solved]DKIM not working - outbound mails do not get signed

Hello everyone!

I'm having a problem with my Astaro 8.306. The box does not sign outbound mail with a DKIM signature although I have set up everything according to this wonderful guide: DomainKeys DKIM setup guide for Astaro Security Gateway

The ASG seems to ignore the fact that I want to have all outgoing mails for my domain signed. I attached files containing an email header, the public/private key setup and the log for a single test mail.

Does anybody see what I might be doing wrong?

Regards
Alex

  • k=rsa;

    Thank's what you left out of your DNS TXT record.

    Does it work now?

    Cheers - Bob

  • Hey Bob,

    the k=rsa parameter should be optional - as rsa is the only accepted method for DKIM keys anyway. In my previous tests with another private/public key pair I had this parameter in the TXT record and it didn't work either.

    Nevertheless, I'm going to try this tomorrow - unfortunately I can't do the DNS change by myself - that NS is managed externally.. [:(]

    Regards
    Alex
