UTM 9.002 End User Portal for Non-Local users missing Email links

In a newly installed UTM 9 appliance all users (except admin) are coming from an external source (eDir). Email protection is enabled and the end user portal.

I can log in fine to the portal but only the admin shows the links to quarantine management, email tracking and so forth. eDir users only see welcome and log out.

When I enable SSL remote access for some users, they can see those links in the portal just fine.

Is this a configuration error on my end or does it work as designed?
