RDNS/Helo check exception does not work

Hello,

we have a communication partner whos mailserver has no RDNS entry, that´s why mail will be rejected by our ASG.

I have made an exception (it´s activated) on the domain (*@domain.com) but the mail still will be rejected because of missing RDNS. Why?

The addressed domain is in a SMTP profile but for all the anti-spam checks we "use gloabal settings" so the exception should also work.

    Could you please provide a screenshot of your exception for RDNS/Helo checking so that we can verify that you have it setup correctly?

    RDNS is done during opening the connection for transmission BEFORE a mail from: is sent, so this exception based on mailaddress with wildcard will never work. Create the exception for the customers mx (mailserver IP) as source host/ network instead. That should work...

    That´s not correct. I´am using very often wildcards and the still work.

    See the Astaro Help:

    These Sender Addresses: Select the senders' e-mail addresses that should skip the defined security checks.
    When selecting this option, the Senders dialog box opens. You can either enter a complete valid e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@example.com) or all e-mail addresses of a specific domain using an asterisk as wildcard (e.g., *@example.com).



    Btw ... I found the problem, there was a typo in the name [:$]

    Can indeed confirm that (*@domain.com) is working correctly.
    It is much needed because still too many server do not have correct RDNS.
